An AMI deployment is exciting for utilities, but can often feel daunting. The goal of this WaterSide Chat is to empower utility managers with best practices on how they can execute a successful deployment in their own service area.

Speakers

Christian Di Renzo holds graduate degrees from both New York University and the University of Southern California.a He has over ten years’ utility experience working for the Cities of Pasadena, New York, and Beverly Hills and is currently the Assistant Public Works Director/Utility Manager for the City of Benicia located in the East Bay approximately 30 miles from San Francisco. He will share his first hand experience navigating an advanced metering infrastructure deployment. Christian will discuss the challenges Benicia faced, both expected and not, that came up throughout the implementation.

Martha Senf leads a National Center of Excellence that provides project development and implementation assistance to the local sales teams for water, wastewater and street lighting solutions. She brings experience gained in projects at the various Siemens offices to the local team as they develop a project. Martha will share her vast knowledge on how to navigate those surprise obstacles that will inevitably come up during an advanced metering infrastructure deployment.

Eric Tracy oversees the growth of Ferguson Waterworks’ base of Neptune business within the California market. He has over a decade of experience working with water utilities on extensive AMR/AMI implementation projects. His CA team of a dozen meter automation specialists has sold and implemented over $100M of AMI equipment and materials and is supported by 235 Ferguson Waterworks associates operating out of 21 different CA branch locations. Eric will share some of the “do’s and dont’s” that he has witnessed in AMI Implementations.
