Natick Water launched the WaterSmart Program (now VXsmart) in February 2019 to improve processes around leak detection, customer outreach, and general operational efficiency. Staff were looking for ways to get more out of their automatic meter reading (AMR) system and escape the limitations of only communicating with customers via their quarterly bills.
